Spine gilt-tooled with raised bands, rubbed along with joints and endbands; lacking leather label. Front joint torn from the tail, with the lower two compartments pivoting at the rear. Front pastedown scuffed; rear endpapers sticking and somewhat torn. The text block remains strong, showing only the expected faint foxing and offsetting of age.
