Corners bumped; joints and endbands show minor tears. Text edges lightly foxed. Lacking frontispiece; binding cracked between front free endpaper and t.p., with spine cover detached from text block and pivoting at the rear. Text block otherwise shaken but holding, illustrated throughout with wood-engravings. Some illustrations water-coloured by an amateur hand, generally tidy but with some offsetting; p. 18 scribbled but legible. A serviceable copy. Item #470520
