1899, First Edition. London : Printed for the Navy Records Society. Good copies both in contemporary white cloth boards, backed with black cloth, and both gilt-blocked. Boards dust-dulled and slightly edgeworn, with endbands rubbed. Vol. 2 hinges weak, with a crude repair to the rear. Text edges and prelims lightly foxed, with the interiors remaining otherwise tight, bright and clean. A well-preserved set overall. Provenance: presented by Sir William White's library to the Maude Morison History Seminar Library (Armstrong College, Newcastle). Item #470397
