1812, New Edition. Bungay : Brightly & Childs. Good copy only in a contemporary full-leather binding, with front board detached. Later spine label of gilt-blocked black leather. Covers heavily worn, and corners bumped. Marbled endpapers. Contemporary and later reader inscriptions to front free endpaper (1901) and flyleaf (1853). Colour plate facing p. 353 is inverted as issued. Text block notably tight and strong, with faint foxing chiefly limited to preliminary and final leaves. The same leaves are somewhat dust-toned, and text throughout shows some dust to margins. A very serviceable example. Item #467608
