1837, First Edition. London : Charles Knight & Co. Good copy in contemporary half calf over marble boards, now dust-dulled and scuffed; rear surface and top edge show some abrasions. Spine and black leather label both gilt-tooled, with spine surface heavily rubbed. Corners, joints and endbands show some wear, the latter crumbling slightly at the head. Preliminary and final leaves foxed, with the interior remaining tight and clean. A well-preserved example overall. Item #467312
