1700, First Edition. Anvers : Chez Gaspar Moretus. Very good copy in contemporary full leather, now with some light scuffs and considerable rubbing to the margins and joints. Spine shows wear to raised bands and ends, with some gilt-blocked compartment panels partly lacking. Marbled endpapers, with all edges gilt. The text block remains remarkably tight, bright and clean for its age, showing only a suggestion of foxing to the edges. Some contemporary inscriptions to front flyleaf.
