1840, First Edition. London : Fisher, Son & Co. Good copy in contemporary half brown leather over brown cloth boards; spine gilt-tooled with raised bands. Boards somewhat scuffed and dust-dulled; panel edges, joints, and endbands rubbed. Rear corners peeling with minor surface loss. All edges gilt; text block remains notably tight. Endpapers dust-dulled, with some reader markings. The interior remains strong, with all plates collated and present. Leaves show extensive but faint foxing; preliminary leaves have a minor damp-stain to the top margin. A well-preserved volume overall. Item #463085
