Small tear at the head of volume 1 front joint. Spine surfaces and endbands worn, with some surface loss. Prelims lightly foxed; interiors generally bright and clean. Some contemporary manuscript notes (1891) to both title page versos. Volume 2 text cracked in some places, but sewing holds throughout; this volume also lacks its pocket map. A very serviceable set, with well-preserved text blocks. Item #463007
