Good copies only both in contemporary black blind-decorated cloth-covered boards; both boards to volume 1 detached, with front hinge to volume 2 starting. Spine covers substantially lacking, with evidence of the original gilt titles and decoration. Preliminary and final leaves somewhat foxed. The core text of both volumes remains substantially tight, bright and clean, with only some isolated and faint foxing to the margins. An internally well-preserved and very serviceable set overall.
