Both boards now lightly scuffed and somewhat rubbed at the edges. Spine with raised bands, somewhat rubbed. Spine compartments and red leather title label gilt-tooled. Prelims lightly foxed, with some offsetting from the frontispiece to the title page. The text block remains otherwise notably tight, bright and clean; an internally well-preserved copy, which retains much of its aesthetic value. Provenance: Bookplate of John R. Lambert. Item #460351
