Spines worn and showing substantial surface loss; two gilt-blocked leather spine labels remain on each volume, some lifting or showing slight loss at the margins. Some joints slightly tender, with the front joint of volume 3 repaired. Marbled edges and endpapers. Text blocks remain tight, bright and clean, apart from isolated marginal dust-dulling.
