Good copy in the original elaborately gilt-tooled maroon buckram over bevelled boards, now slightly rubbed at the edges and bumped at the corners. Joints and endbands worn, with a small closed tear to the rear joint. All edges gilt. Some light foxing to the prelims, with text block otherwise bright and clean, save for isolated marginal foxing and dust smudges. Text blocked cracked before p. 19, with sewing holding secure.
