Very good copy in contemporary blue leather; raised bands and red leather label to spine, both gilt-tooled and with elaborately gilt-tooled compartments. Boards lightly scuffed and rubbed on the edges, with corners worn. Spine, endbands and joints somewhat rubbed, with the latter somewhat tender and cracked at the rear. Marbled edges and endpapers. Prelims lightly foxed, with contemporary (1882) inscription to a front blank. The interior remains tight, bright and clean; a well-preserved copy overall. Item #459276
