1873, Second Edition. Paris : Firmin Didot. Good copies only, all in contemporary purple cloth boards, now heavily dust-dulled and faded, with gilt-blocked titles to spine. Scuffs to rear board volume 2 and the front of the supplement. Spine bands and panel edges somewhat rubbed, with minor loss at some corners. Internally tight and clean throughout, with minor and isolated dust-dulling to the margins. Despite ample evidence of use, the set remains strong and internally very well-preserved. Item #456322
