Albert Schweitzer: Christian revolutionary / by George Seaver
London: Adam & Charles Black, 1955. 2nd Edition. Near fine cloth copy in a near-fine, very slightly edge-nicked and dust-dulled dust wrapper, now mylar-sleeved. Remains particularly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and strong. Provenance: Essay by Albert Schweitzer loosely inserted. From George Seaver’s own library through the Zozimus (Wyse Jackson) sale 2021. Geroge Seaver was an English biographer and polar enthusiast. In 1946, Seaver was appointed bishop's vicar of Kilkenny Cathedral in Ireland, but even after his retirement his interest in polar affairs and writing biographies remained until his death in 1976.
