Gilt-crossed bands, with gilt-decorated spine compartments. The original aniline calf panels have been retained, which are slightly dulled and rubbed around the edges. Decorative gilt-stamped and blind-stamped borders to panels. Inner gilt dentils. All edges marbled. Marbled endpapers. Some dust-dulling and marginal tanning internally, but very bright and clean considering the age of the set. Remains particularly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and strong.
